RCE Bogor’s stakeholder meeting has been held on 6 June, 2008. This meeting is focused on needs assessment of the stakeholders regarding the programs of RCE Bogor for 2008. The result of the meeting is : “learning by action is more effective compare to the theory in the classroom”. RCE Bogor will facilitate the needs by inserting the practical/implementation of the theory in the programs for 2008. The first implementation is in the ESD Seminar on 19 June, 2008. The theme of the Seminar is : Education for Sustainable Development : “Land Conservation and Valuing Waste from Plastic Bag and Newspaper waste”. For this seminar in the second session, the speaker will present and teach about land conservation using “bio-pores”technique and valuing newspaper waste to produce handicrafts. The seminars will be attended by 70 persons from various institutions as well as individual from the community. Articles related to ESD activities from school teachers and drawing from students will be presented in the poster session.
